Located in the Midvale shopping district right in front of the Century Movie Theatres is Tusami Restaurant. A few colleagues from out of the country were visiting our offices so we decided to pay them a visit during the lunch hour. We found the restaurant very busy and bustling, but still were seating right away and got great service the entire trip. I would definitely repeat again. Also worth adding that in addition to a nice sushi selection, they have Japanese based cuisine options.
Potstickers for me are the quintessential way of starting a meal. For me they are the Asian equivalent of chips and salsa you get from Mexican restaurants, or bread with oil and vinegar you get from Italian restaurants. You can get then deep-fried or pan-fried so we went ahead and tried both. These were pretty decent. They come in veggie or pork flavors.
My lunch entrée was a Copacabana roll which had a nice mixture of flavor and texture that I prefer in my sushi preference. One thing I really liked about all the rolls I tried was the rice. The sticky rice was really well done.
This roll pictured in the front was deep-fried. They have lots of different flavors and textures, as well as your standard nashiri and sushimi offerings.
One great option here are the lunch boxes. One of the folks at my table got some delicious fish with some tempura veggies along with some sushi rolls and potstickers
Tsunami really is a pretty solid place for lunch. I have not visited them for dinner but plan on doing so. The prices were aligned with what I would expect to find as well.
