Kotako Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Most of us in SLC have grown to love Cupbop over the past few years as being one of the food truck leaders of the mobile food scene here in Utah.  They certainly have expanded to multiple trucks, my company also has them cater office lunch about once a month.  Besides expanding the number of Cupbop trucks they have also expanded in a very clever way to other types of offerings.  Kotako is run by the Cupbop folks, but it’s basically a Cupbop truck in a taco stand clothing.  Same great flavors but in a different package.

For example the above pictured “Korrito”.  You know, I can quite put my finger on it.  The name of this dish “Korrito” sounds like something you can get at a taco stand.  hmmm wonder what it could be.  And this kosadilla and kotako also sound oddly familiar.

How does it taste though?  The korrito has all the same great flavors of Cupbop in burrito form.  It is a bit more convenient for perhaps the mobile traveler who needs to eat on the go.  No fork necessary here.  But in its increased ease of consumption it loses the beauty of having the tasty sauce they put on top of their rice bowls filter down into the rice.  The sticky rice left on the bottom of the bowl is one of my favorite parts.

Overall I think this new project is a win.  Cupbop in whatever form it may be is better than no Cupbop at all.  These guys are definitely worth checking out.  Find them on Facebook for information on where to find them.
