Oak Wood Fire Kitchen

Oak Wood Fire Kitchen on Urbanspoon

Oak Wood Fire Kitchen is a new Draper restaurant in the strip mall area of 12300 South and 700 East.  Dining in Draper has been a head scratcher for me for quite a while.  That head scratcher problem is started to go away, and the answer for great eating in Draper is coming more and more into focus with Oak Wood Fire Kitchen.

For starters I’m going to throw out a picture of an appetizer that we ordered.  I didn’t know much about Oak Wood Fire Kitchen, but after sampling this dish, I can safely sing this song.

Baked Goat Cheese with Flatbread at Oak Wood Fire Kitchen

This appetizer is like dipping piping hot bread into a bowl of delicious lasagna.  We took the goat cheese and spread it around a bit its cast iron dish.  Shut the front door.  So good!

Chicken Alfredo

They make pasta dishes as well, like this chicken alfredo pasta.  It was well balanced and flavorful.

LeRoy Pizza

LeRoy Pizza

Oak Wood Fire Kitchen has a number of artisan pizzas to choose from.  I went with the LeRoy, which was the bad, bad, baddest pizza in the whole damn town.  Oven-Roasted beef medallions, jalapeños, caramelized onions, and chipotle creme.  It looked like a pizza, but tasted like anything but a pizza.  (That is a good thing)

I didn’t get a chance to try their delicious sliders, but you can read all about them on Kelli’s Random Act of Kellyness blog.  You can see their full menu here.

Great service, small but relaxing dining room.  Right next door to one of my favorite bakery spots of all-time.  Its a safe bet to say I’ll be back soon and often.
