Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen - Houston Airport

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen – Houston Airport

I think the world needs more food blogs when it comes to airports.  We have all been there.  a 2-3 hour layover with a number of options in front of us, but only time for one choice.  What do you do?  Hopefully this post helps those traveling through the Dallas Ft. Worth or Houston Airports.  Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen has some really good food there.

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

These mozzarella sticks might as well be named mozzarella cheese tree trunks.  They really are outstanding, and they are served with a unique and tasty spicy marinara sauce.  Thumbs up on this appetizer.

Jumbo Shrimp Brochette

Jumbo Shrimp Brochette

This this this.  In the name of all things holy and pure, THIS!  I’m just a luke warm shrimp guy.  I don’t get it often because the gout bug likes to bite me, but it is just too hard to pass up this magnificent dish.  The jumbo shrimp are wrapped in bacon and baked in Cajun seasoning.  These are so so good.

Pappadeaux has a full service bar and a pretty fancy and expansive dining area for an airport.  The prices aren’t unreasonable for an airport, at $10-$15 for an appetizer and $20-$25 for an entrée.  I’ve got this place down as a must visit when flying through Texas.
