Hector's Mexican Food

Hector’s Mexican Food

Hector’s Mexican food up in Millcreek on 3300 South has been doing Mexican food for quite a while albeit not always under the same name.  Hector’s was cool way before Beto’s and Beto’s knock-offs starting appearing like mosquitos all over the valley.  If you want to same great flavors without the unfortunately post-lunch side effects, then definitely go to Hector’s.

Carne Asada Burrito

Carne Asada Burrito

I normally don’t like presenting my readers with pictures of food half eaten, but had to make an exception in this case to get my point across.  You can get your standard burritos from the California, to the carnitas, to a few different breakfast varieties to of course the carne asada staple.  They don’t cheat you by sticking low-cost ingredients on the inside like rice or refried beans.  (I’m talking to you Taco Bell)  Just really good pico de gallo, guacamole, and meat.  They also have some great salsa for the side.

Looks at these carne asada fries!  You are welcome.

Hectors is basically your high quality Betos.  You can wash it down with the biggest, most glorious cup of horchata you have ever tasted as well.  Some days you just need the Mexican, you want it quick and you want it cheap.  This is your place.  Only points I’m going to deduct is them not being open until 9 am.  If they opened an hour earlier, I would probably get a breakfast burrito there several times a week.
