La Sandwicherie

One of the things I enjoyed most about Miami Beach were the bicycle rentals that could be found throughout the city.  For $10 bucks you can rent a bicycle and ride it anywhere for 2 hours.  The traffic laws on Miami Beach are very conducive to cyclists as well.  Towards the end of my 2 hour block, I came upon a rental station and this place caught my eye, “La Sandwicherie”.  I certainly was hungry enough so I decided to stop there for lunch.

One of the first things I found was an old ATM on the end of the Sandwich shop.  Assuming that they were cash only, I went ahead and withdrew $20 bucks, but then noticed someone signing a credit card receipt, so yes they do accept both cash and card.  La Sandwicherie specializes in juices and sandwiches mainly.  Each of the sandwiches has a common bond, and that is the house dressing French Vinaigrette that goes on top.

The SOBE

I went with the SOBE, which is a baguette loaded with turkey, avocado, and brie cheese.  I had them add all of the fresh veggies for my toppings along with some of their house vinaigrette.  As far as cold cut sandwiches go, this one was fantastic.  The cornichons or French pickles were a nice touch to the sandwich.

The sandwich was huge, and I think I paid about $8 for mine.  You can see the full menu online here.  The staff that waited on me saw that I was slowing down after only the first half, so they offered me a to go bag along with several more sides of their dressing, for which I was grateful.

La Sandwicherie is a cool, hip Miami Beach joint with a nice vibe.  Service is good and quick, and food is filling and fresh.
