Pizza Rev

Pizza Rev has taken over the building formerly owned by NYPD Pizza, and I see it as an upgrade.  They offer custom built quick pizzas with unlimited toppings at an affordable price.  I would compare them to the Pie Five that opened (and just closed) in Cottonwood Heights near Big Cottonwood Canyon, but better.  I had compared Pie Five as the “Subway” of pizza.  Pizza Rev is a step higher.  Instead of throwing the dough in a conveyor belt, they have a stone oven that heats up to 900 degrees.

You can order the pizza your way or their way (suggested toppings and sauces)  We went with a pepperoni pizza as well as the Fennel & Sausage.  I liked the crust of the pizzas and that they were thin crust and fresh tasting.  I found the price point to be about right for what I ordered.  I was also a big fan of the freestyle coke machine as well as the ‘Rev it up” station where you can find hot sauce as well as crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese.  This place definitely has a new and clean feel to it.

I bought my little guy a kids meal which came with some Oreo cookies and some juice for $5.99.  He ate everything so looks like it passes the 2 year old taste test.

Comparing Valley Fair Mall from 5 years ago to today is like night and day.  West Valley has invested a lot of money in this place and has brought in a lot of great food choices.  They have SLC favorites Smashburger, Cafe Rio, Cafe Zupas, Sweet Tooth Fairy and others.  You can even see a movie in one of the best theatres in the state of Utah and Megaplex Theatres.
